Well, it started when our office was ordering bacon sandwiches, mine was a 'sausage and well done bacon'. We had tried several of the local shops over the years with varying degrees of satisfaction.

One of the most frequent complaints was the inability of these shops to understand the term "well done". The bacon was invariably flabby and undercooked, even if "burnt" was requested.

My particular gripe was with the cheap sausages that they all used. God knows what was in them; certainly very little Pork.

All I wanted was a Better Banger...

Probably more cacinogenic E numbers than in any other product. They are usually overcooked yet strangely insipid and colourless. All I wanted was a Better Banger....

And so the idea for a website was born!

Now I also wanted to demonstrate some of my web skills (not that there are many!) and so I have endevoured to write this site the old fashioned way and use notepad only. No Dreamweaver, Joomla, Frontpage et al here. Actually I have used Programmer's Notepad which is just a little more sophisticated but there is still no GUI (Graphical User Interface).

Next I would like to add a Blog so that I can share my important thoughts with the world. Now I don't really have all that much to say about sausages, so it will probably turn into a Right Wing, Pro-Conservative rant!
